Meet our Missionary Families

Picture

Dan and Ginny
Serving in Dakar, Senegal

Ginny headed up a three day retreat for Christian women in Senegal and reported it was a much more difficult task that she envisioned, requiring several months of preparation.  The focus was to encourage English - speaking Christian women, mostly missionaries who live in the country and other expatriates.

"It was a much bigger responsibility that I thought, and a challenge in many ways," she wrote.  "My dear friend Jennifer, with whom I went to college, and who now is serving God in Togo, came to be a speaker."

She said some of their kids are going through a pretty difficult year and asked that we pray with them that it will be worked out.

"Some of them are struggling with complicated dynamics and relationships with teachers at their school.  Some are working through making their faith their own, and seeing what it means to make good choices.  It has been very draining and difficult for Dan and myself.  It feels like everyday there is another crisis of some sort or another.  Please pray with us that we would have wisdom and patience.  And please pray for our kids that they would love Jesus."

Ginny also reported that one of their co-workers in Guinea is working through a final check of the Book of Acts with translation consultants.  She asked us to pray that work will go well and that the truth's of God's Word would be clear in the Landuma language.

Dalton and Sue
Serving at Ethnos360 Bible Institute
Dalton is now serving in an operations role and said it seems to be a good fit.  "(The Changes) was much needed and it has provided me with a chance to change gears but still contribute to the ministry here at EBI in significant ways," he wrote.  "Sue is working her magic with the kids and blessing families here at the school so that they can sit under the teaching of the Word or serve in ministry on staff.

"We have an encouraging student body and it has been cool to continue to see many of our grads continue on in ministry toward the un-reached.  We know of a people group currently hearing the Gospel taught clearly in their heart language for the first time (In Latin America) by Jackson grads.  There are also a number of teams that are getting close to being proficient enough in the language and culture to begin teaching the Word and still others that are busy translating the Scriptures and leasing believers to maturity.  It's encouraging to see these former students serve the Lord as part of the Church in some incredibly challenging contexts."
